A Message From Our Founder, Suzanne

“Whether you’re short on time, wanting to make a lasting impression or just hate the thought of wrapping and want your gifts wrapped by a professional, (whose bows actually look like bows!), then stop right there. This is exactly why I founded The Velvet Ribbon Wrapping Company.

I love giving presents and I always ensure that not only is the gift a personal one, but that it is wrapped and presented beautifully. I love to wrap my gifts in colours and materials that reflect the recipient, shows them just how much I care, and how important they are to me.

I am usually found behind the scenes, overseeing the work & products and I love to get hands on with the wrapping and styling of your gifts. Having that personal touch ensures attention to detail so that everything is wrapped with love and care, especially for you and your gift’s recipient. I also curate all the wrapping packs and make sure we have the themes, styles, colours and materials to enable you to have the most wonderful and memorable gifting experience.

I am also very conscious about the environment and am aware of just how much of what we use at the Velvet Wrapping Company affects the planet. Therefore we have a Tree Planting Pledge, so for every order over £50 we will plant a tree, and as we believe in sustainability, we also use biodegradable tape, stickers, ribbons, recycled paper, fabric etc as much as we possibly can, and ensure we recycle or re-use any off-cuts of material leftover.

Why I chose the name Velvet Ribbon:

Velvet ribbon has long been a symbol of elegance and refinement. In the 18th century, it adorned women’s dresses, hats, and hair accessories, while men incorporated it into cravats and waistcoats. It was also often associated with the ideals of romanticism and sophistication.

By the 19th and 20th centuries, designers like Coco Chanel and Christian Dior embraced velvet ribbon, using it to add glamour to evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and accessories. Brides also often used it to embellish their wedding gowns and accessories, adding a romantic and vintage-inspired touch to their bridal ensemble.

Today, it remains a beloved fashion element, enhancing modern designs with its rich, luxurious texture and timeless allure.
